Drive to Ephesus, great Greco Roman City of Asia Minor and an important center of Christianity. Visit the Basilica of St. John with the tomb of the Apostle. Walking down the main streets of the city, visit the Grand Theater where St. Paul had an encounter with the jealous idol-makers. Visit the local museum and the famous statue of "Diana of the Ephesians". Finally drive up to the hill for a visit to the Last Home of Virgin Mary. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 IZMIR (PERGAMUM) / ISTANBUL Breakfast and visit to Pergamum. Acropolis and Asclepion, the famous healing center of the ancient times, are the main ruins to be seen in Pergamum. Transfer to the airport at the end of the tour for a flight to Istanbul. Arrival in Istanbul airport and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 03
Departure will be early in the morning for Konya. Enroute there will be a stop to visit the 13TH century Caravansary of Sultanhan which is authentically kept. The next stop will be in Konya which was the Capital of the Selçuk Turks in the 13TH century. This city which hosts the Mevlana museum is also know for its theological school of whirling dervishes. Lunch will be served enroute. Arrival in Pamukkale will be late in the afternoon. Dinner and O/N will be at the hotel in Pamukkale.

DAY 04
After breakfast at the hotel the visits will begin early in the morning with the ruins of the magnificent temple of Apollo, continuing with the breathtaking theater, the fascinating Necropolis and the last stop before lunch will be at the great baths of hierapolis antique city. Lunch will be taken enroute at a typical restaurant and the afternoon will continue with the visit to Aphrodisias. This is one of the most recent discoveries in Turkey. This ancient city is dedicated to the goddess of love Aphrodite. The drive to Kusadasi will begin after this visit. Dinner and O/N will be at the hotel in Kusadasi.

DAY 05
After breakfast at the hotel there will be a morning tour of Ephesus. This is the best preserved and the most often visited of all sites in Turkey. It is dedicated to Artemis who is the virgin goddess of chase. The visits will continue with the house of Virgin Mary which is world famous and the interesting Selçuk Museum. Lunch will be served in Selçuk and the drive to Izmir will follow. On arrival to Izmir you will be transfered to the hotels or airport.

Pierre Loti was a famous French novelist who lived in Istanbul for a long time and wrote about daily life in the Ottoman Empire. In the afternoon, start another nice walking tour along Cemberlitas Column, Grand Bazaar, Copper Makers Bazaar, Rustem Pasha Mosque famous for its beautiful blue tile decoration and Spice Bazaar where you can find all kinds of spices and Turkish delight. DAY 4 ISTANBUL

DAY 5 IZMIR / EPHESUS / PAMUKKALE
Early breakfast and departure for Ephesus. Visit the ruins of the antique city of Ephesus, Basilica of St. John and the Last Residence of Virgin Mary. Continue to Pamukkale to see the travertine terraces and visit the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.

DAY 6 PAMUKKALE / KONYA / CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast and early departure for Konya to visit the Mausoleum and the Mosque of Mevlana. Continue to Cappadocia for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 CAPPADOCIA
Full day sightseeing of the area, including the valleys of Goreme and Zelve, the underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, Uchisar and Avanos. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 8 CAPPADOCIA / ANKARA - DEPARTURE
Morning departure for Ankara, visit the Seljuk Agzikarahan Caravansary en rote. Visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations on arrival in Ankara. Then transferto the airport and departure.

DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN ISTABUL

DAY 02 ISTANBUL
Full day sightseeing including Hippodrome where chariot races took place during the Roman times, Blue Mosque famous for its beautiful blue tiles and St. Sophia Museum. Visit Istanbul Archeological Museum to see the very rich collection of antiquities in the recently renovated museum building. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 03 ISTANBUL
Half day city tour including the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificent built by the famous Ottoman architect Sinan and Topkapi Palace, the palace of the Ottoman Sultans famous for its treasure. Afternoon is free. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 04 ISTANBUL / ANKARA
Early breakfast and drive to Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, which is the third important archeological museum after Paris-Louvres and London-British Museum. Dinner and overnight in Ankara.

DAY 05 ANKARA (HATTUSAS / YAZILIKAYA)
Breakfast and departure for the capital city of Hittite Empire, Hattusas, which is known as the city of temples. See the lions gate, the tunnel, kings gate, great citadel, grand temple and museum. 2 Kms from Hattusas (todayís Bogazkale) is the ancient site of Yazilikaya which means "Inscribed Rock", the most famous of the Hittite rock monuments. See the fine reliefs of the Hittite gods and goddesses adoring the walls, carved into the native rock, dating back to the 13th century BC at the open air pantheon. Return to Ankara for dinner and overnight.

DAY 06 ANKARA / CAPPADOCIA
Early departure for one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world, Cappadocia. Visit the Underground city of Kaymakli and Avanos. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 07 CAPPADOCIA
Full day tour of the area including the Valley of Göreme and Zelve, villages of Çavusin and Avcilar, natural citadel of Uchisar. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

DAY 08 CAPPADOCIA / AMASYA
Breakfast and early departure for Amasya. Visit rock carved graves of Pontus kings, palace of the Amazons, Hazeranlar pavilion and the local museum famous with the mummies of the Pontus kingsí families. Dinner and overnight in Amasya.

DAY 09 AMASYA / TRABZON
Early breakfast and departure for Trabzon along the Black Sea coast. Visit Trabzon upon arrival including St. Sophia, Zagnos Bridge and the city walls. Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

DAY 10 TRABZON
Departure for Macka to visit the famous Sumela Monastery which is built on a steep mountain and adorned with frescoes taken from the scenes of the Old and the New Testament. Continue to Uzungol (Longlake Meadow) to taste fish and visit Uzungolís high plains with large grasslands, plenty of water resources, lake, natural beauties and the Black Sea village there with its typical wooden houses and local people. Return to Trabzon for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast and departure for Nemrut Mountain to see the Colossal Statues of the Olympian Gods and a Temple built by Antiochus I Commagenes, surrounding a giant Tumulus at the very top of the mountain. Continue to Urfa, dinner and overnight.

DAY 04 URFA / DIYARBAKIR
Visit the Mosque of Hz. Ibrahim and the Holy Fish, Old Bazaar and the Castle in Urfa, drive to Diyarbakir for dinner and overnight.

DAY 05 DIYARBAKIR / AHLAT
Sightseeing of Diyarbakir including Grand Mosque and the three-mile-long Roman Land Walls of black basalt still encircle the town. Drive to Ahlat and visit the tombs of Seljuk Kings and Seljuk cemetery with its typical tombstones. Dinner and overnight in Ahlat.

DAY 06 AHLAT / AKDAMAR / VAN
Full day tour to Akdamar Island, capital of the ancient Kingdom of Vaspurakan. Visit the Basilica on the island built in 915. Continue to an Urartian City, Cavustepe and a very impressive castle, Hosab Castle and the bridge there dating from the times of Urartu Kingdom which is still in use. Drive to Van for dinner and overnight.

DAY 07 VAN
Visit Tusba, the citadel of Urartu Kingdom, and the Archeological Museum housing mainly Urartian remains. Continue to Toprakkale a few miles north of Van and Ercis (ancient Arjesh). Return to Van for dinner and overnight.

DAY 08 VAN / MURADIYE / DOGUBEYAZIT
Drive to Muradiye and visit the waterfall there. Continue to Ishak Pasa Palace in Dogubeyazit. Dinner and overnight in Dogubeyazit.

DAY 09 DOGUBEYAZIT / ANI / KARS
Departure for a full day tour to the ruins of Ani via Kars. Ani is located on the river that constitutes the Turkish-Russian border. It was founded in the 9th Century and has many interesting remains such as the Cathedral, City Halls and Gates, Churches. Dinner and overnight in Kars.

DAY 10 KARS / ERZURUM
Departure for Erzurum., one of the biggest cities of Eastern Turkey. Visit there The Castle, Grand Mosque and Yakutiye Medrese (old Religious School). Dinner and overnight in Erzurum.

DAY 11 ERZURUM / TRABZON
Drive to Trabzon and visit the city including St. Sophia, Zagnos Bridge, Land Walls and Ataturkís Residence. Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

DAY 12 TRABZON
Excursion to Sumela Monastery. This monastery, built in the 14th Century, is the most important Byzantine monument of the region and situated on a cliff 1000 feet above the valley floor, at an altitude of 3900 feet. Sumela is dedicated to Virgin Mary. Return to Trabzon trough landscape of wooded mountains. Dinner and overnight in Trabzon.

DAY 13 TRABZON / ISTANBUL
Breakfast and transfer to Trabzon airport. Fly to Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 14 ISTANBUL
Breakfast and full day city tour in Istanbul including St. Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul.

DAY 15 DEPARTURE
